About Us
Pointing People in the Right Direction
Provida exists to take the confusion out of pension and retirement paperwork — through plain-language sessions, practical organising tools, and a supportive community in Bangkok.

Started Around a Kitchen Table in Phaya Thai
Provida grew out of a frustration that many long-term Bangkok residents share: retirement paperwork from multiple countries, written in language that assumes you already know the system, with no obvious place to start. Our founder, a long-time expat with a background in adult education, began running informal sessions from a co-working space in 2021 to help neighbours and friends get oriented.
Word spread. The kitchen-table conversations became structured workshops. The resource folder grew into a members' library. What stayed constant was the original commitment: explain things clearly, point people to the right official sources, and never overstep into advice that should come from a qualified professional.
Today Provida operates from a small office on Soi Phahonyothin 7 and serves a community of English-speaking residents across Bangkok who want to feel in control of their retirement documents — without having to become experts themselves.
Our Mission
To make retirement paperwork understandable for every English-speaking resident in Thailand, through plain-language education and practical organising support.
Our Vision
A Bangkok expat community where nobody reaches retirement feeling overwhelmed by documents they cannot interpret — and where the right official sources are always within reach.
Our Commitment
Everything we offer is framed as general education and organisational support. We are not a regulated service. We consistently and clearly direct members to the official bodies appropriate for their individual situation.

How We Work
Our Standards and Approach
Scope Clarity
Every session opens with a clear explanation of what Provida does and does not do. Attendees always know they are receiving educational orientation, not professional advice or representation.
Up-to-Date Content
Our resource library is reviewed on a rolling basis. When official processes change, we update our materials and notify members so the information you're working from reflects current reality.
Privacy by Default
Sessions are structured so that participants never need to share personal pension details with the group. Attendees work with their own documents in their own time — Provida provides the framework, not a window into private records.
Official Source Signposting
Every topic we cover includes a clear reference to the relevant official body — government departments, pension authorities, embassy services — so attendees always know who to contact directly.
Moderated Community
The members' forum is moderated to keep conversations educational and supportive. Posts that stray into individual advice-giving are gently redirected to ensure the community stays a safe and useful space.
Participant Wellbeing
Retirement paperwork can feel stressful. We pace sessions to avoid overwhelm, check in with attendees, and make sure everyone leaves with at least one clear next step rather than a longer to-do list.
What We Stand For
Retirement Paperwork Orientation for Bangkok's Expat Community
For many people living in Thailand, retirement records span two or three countries — a state pension entitlement from the UK or Australia, occupational scheme paperwork from a former employer, and perhaps a private arrangement that has been sitting in a drawer for years. Knowing which documents are current, who to contact when something changes, and how to keep records organised is genuinely complicated. Provida's workshops exist to make that complexity manageable.
Our approach draws on adult education principles: start with what people actually have in front of them, explain concepts in plain language before introducing official terminology, and always leave space for questions. Sessions are small enough for every attendee to get a word in. The Records System Setup goes further — working one-on-one to build a folder structure that fits how each person actually lives and works.
The Year-Long Guidance Membership is designed for people who want continuity. Retirement paperwork is not a one-time task; entitlements change, contact details change, and circumstances change. Monthly orientation talks keep members current, while the resource library and forum provide a place to check in between sessions. Everything stays educational — members are always pointed toward official bodies for anything that touches their individual situation.
Provida does not hold itself out as a financial planning service, a legal service, or any kind of regulated provider. Our value is clarity, organisation, and community — three things that make a real difference when retirement documentation feels like a maze.
